Emergency Care
In the event of an emergency, call the office and the
staff will give you instructions of what to do. If the
office is closed, please call and listen to the recorded
message which will tell you how to reach the doctor.
Telephone Calls
We encourage you to call with questions you may have
concerning your health care problems; however, it would
be unfair to the other patients if the doctor were to
disrupt treatment to answer every phone call. Our staff
is trained to answer most questions. If your call requires
that the doctor speak with you, please leave a message
and the doctor will return your call at the earliest
opportunity.
Paperwork
In order to provide you with the best care, to keep
your account current, and to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings,
your assistance is requested in filling out all forms
completely. You may print out these forms
via our website, fill them in, and bring them to your
appointment if you wish.
Prescriptions and Renewals
All prescriptions and authorizations for renewals should
be requested during normal office hours.
Fees and Payments
We make every effort to keep down the cost of your medical
care. Payment isexpected at the time of service. We
have two separate plans for patients who need nail care
not covered by their insurance. Please ask our receptionist.
Insurance
Health care insurance is intended to cover some, but
not all, of the cost of your treatment. Most plans include
coinsurance, a deductible and other expenses which must
be paid by the patient.
If you have insurance, please bring your plan information
with you to your first visit. We will work with you
to assure that you receive the maximum benefits to which
you are entitled.
Outside Tests
Occasionally, it is necessary for Dr. Longobardi to
order special diagnostic tests which are not available
in the office. These may include special x-rays, scans
or diagnostic lab tests. The institutions that perform
the tests or the doctor who interprets the tests may
send you a bill. If you undergo a surgical procedure
which necessitates an assistant, you may receive a bill
from the assistant surgeon. If you have difficulty with
these bills, please call our office.
