Principal Investigator Experience in Clinical and Research Studies:
2009- HP-828-101
Purpose
To compare HP-828-101 to standard of care for the management of
partial
thickness wounds, evaluated using the Bates Jensen
Wound
Assessment
Tool (BWAT).
Secondary
objectives are comparison of the proportion of subjects
with
the wound closure by day 22, comparison of
pain assessed
using
a VAS, and evaluation of moist wound environment
as per
the
BWAT
Study
Design:
Wounds will be limited to one or two common types which are seen
in
facilities familiar with clinical research.
A comparator approach for each wound type, so that HP-828-101
can be evaluated against current standards of wound care.
2008-2009 MATRIX: A Phase 2b Study of GAM501 in the Treatment of Diabetic
foot ulcers in the lower extremities.
Purpose
The Phase 2b MATRIX research study will study the effects
of Exellarateª (GAM501) (Ad5PDGF-B/bovine Type I
collagen gel) in men and women for the potential
treatment of neuropathic non-healing diabetic foot
ulcers. GAM501 is an investigational product
designed to stimulate the process of wound healing.
Study Design
The MATRIX research study is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled,
comparator arm (Standard of Care) safety and efficacy
study to evaluate GAM501 (Ad5PDGF-B/bovine type I
collagen gel) that is topically administered
once or twice over the course of the study.
2006-2007 3M Study on Tegaderm-AG Mesh-study patients with chronic diabetic
foot
ulcers response to silver dressings.
